A bit about Antje:
Blending uncommonly beautiful vocals with one of the sharpest poetic sensibilities in her field, Duve- kot has a remarkable ability to make us believe she is whispering secrets in our ear, and we know that she believes every word she sings.

A bit about Stone Soup:
Stone Soup Coffeehouse is now one of the oldest and largest coffeehouse venues in New England, presenting live music on Saturday nights from September through the end of May. Stone Soup presents talented artists, some very well known, such as Pete Seeger, Greg Brown, Patty Larkin, Ellis Paul, and Girlyman as well as many gifted acoustic musicians and songwriters from the New England Area. Stone Soup Coffeehouse has a history of recognizing talent and is proud to have featured many artists, such as Catie Curtis, Pendragon, Atwater-Donnelly, and Erin McKeown, who have become well known nationally.

Recent Press

Check out some of the recent press thats been coming in for "Wandering Feet"! For more, see my "Press" page.

“Each of these songs is a snapshot - perfect short stories, sung by a guileless, wounded angel. She's wise and surprised, thankful and injured, warm and resolved, all at the same time. Kayla does in four songs what some of us singer songwriters only feign in a full career. You'll say, ‘Man, where's she been all this time’. Never mind. She has arrived." - Vance Gilbert, 2012

“Kayla's new record is awesome. The songs are all solid and lovely with delicious melodies and quirky, meaningful lyrics. The production is gorgeous. I've listened to the cd many, many times over now and am enjoying it every time.” - Antje Duvekot, 2012

"On 'Juliette' she sings, 'Maybe it's time we let go' over slide guitar, in what turns out to be one of my favorite local songs of the year ("Nobody Knows" is pretty damn special, too)." -Chris Conti, Providence Phoenix, November 27th, 2012

This polaroid was taken by a frequent visitor to a farmers market I worked last summer, who inspired me to write a song called "Smiles and Polaroids." The track is the first song on my upcoming CD, "Wandering Feet". To read more about the story and download the song for FREE, check out www.kaylaringelheim.bandcamp.com!

Show in Plymouth, MA this Saturday!

First time back in Plymouth since my elementary school visit to the rock.  CAN'T WAIT.

Cover Art.

As you can see, we've finished the cover art for the new CD! The artist's name is Sophia Janowitz, and she does magical things with a paintbrush. I met Soph through her childhood friend and my now-hood friend, Sarah Kay. They worked on an illustrated poem/book together last year, and after seeing the beauty that she created for their project, I asked if she'd be willing to collaborate on this one. Hooray friends. To see more of her sweeeeeet work, check her out at http://intoran.com/.

When I was in high-school I ventured to the American Southwest one summer and came back a different person, thanks to the wonderful people at a place called Deer Hill and the back-country adventures they allowed me to go on. I wrote a song a number of years ago called "Middle of Nowhere" that captures the experience.

Feel free to listen to and/or download a FREE live recording of the song off my new Band Camp page!

A new RECORD!

So many new things to be excited about. A new website, a new season in the air, new toothpaste...and a new CD!

For the past few months, I have been working with an amazing producer (Lorne Entress) and other crazy talented musicians (Kevin Barry, Jesse Williams, Jamie Edwards, Vance Gilbert, and Emily Oglesby) to create "Wandering Feet", a full length record that is a compilation of songs I've written over the past 5 years. I cannot tell you how excited I am to be able to share it with you very soon.

The record is set to release on November, 17th at Club Passim in Harvard Square! Stay tuned!
